Academic WorldQuest 2022

One of the greatest challenges facing our nation and our schools across the country is preparing our youth for the globally interconnected world of the 21st Century. America’s ability to face economic and security challenges and seize new opportunities depends on an informed citizenry and a well-educated workforce.

Young Professionals

First and foremost, our mission focuses on education. Our Young Professionals are no exception: we strive to educate ourselves on international affairs in order to serve as global citizens. Join us to gain greater awareness of international issues through speaking events, film screenings, and informal discussions, among other events.

Internship Opportunities

An internship with the World Affairs Council of San Antonio offers a career development opportunity with a unique perspective on current geopolitical events, how they impact San Antonio and the United States, as well as valuable insight and exposure to the workings within our international community. While working closely with the Council’s leadership on major projects, interns will build skills in event & program planning, marketing & communication, and organization management.

Educational Programs

The Council has invested our scholarship fund with the San Antonio Area Foundation. We have committed to offer up to four (4) $2,500 scholarships annually to current students pursuing a degree in International Affairs or related studies at a local college or university.
