300 hundred celebration of San Antonio City

Collaborating at the Tricentennial conference held by the World Affairs Council of San Antonio, celebrating the 300 hundred celebration of the San Antonio City has informed me more about the city I have been living in for the past years. I have gained a lot of information, I believe most of the San Antonian natives probably are not aware off. Since I am not a native of the State of Texas I got to understand the diversity of San Antonio, the current assimilation issue as the city is growing and becoming more multicultural, as well the future that is yet to come. Welcoming people from other states was helpful so I could hear different opinions and perceptions of how San Antonio is portrayed in other cities. Listening to different points of views will help my understanding of how one must assimilate opinions and comments of other perspectives, as well interacting with foreigners is always informative. I got the chance to meet new people, and being proactive hosting the event with my colleagues in a professional environment outside the office, confirmed to me that organization and timing are essential, availability is required all times and being polite with others is essential to make sure you are being a good host.
